Who benefits from Greens dental health scheme

Are you worrying about the expensive dental treatment, now Greens dental health scheme comes. Older Australians on the aged pension would be among the first to benefit from the expansion of Medicare to include dental services for all, regardless of income, under a plan being promoted by the Greens.

The fully costed promise would build on the means-tested inclusion of children under 17 years of age from January 1, 2014, to take in aged Australians on pensions and then other benefit recipients.

Greens say many older Australians suffering from chronic oral health issues, persistent toothaches and other dental-related health problems, often are unable to get affordable treatment.
The Greens' policy, priced by the Parliamentary Budget Office at $4.9 billion over the four-year forward estimates period, would eventually cost closer to $8 billion.

Incorporating dental services in Medicare for all has been discussed by public health experts and political parties for years but has never been proceeded with because of cost. Greens' leader Christine Milne will launch the dental policy in Melbourne on Tuesday.

All of us wish this program can wide spread to every country.
